WHAT TYPE OF PAINTINGS ARE THEY?
Most of Clive's work uses acrylic paints because they use the same pigments as oils and water colours but are bound in a synthetic medium. This is a transparent water emulsion of acrylic polymer resin which gives the paints qualities that set them apart. They do not fade or yellow, go mouldy or brittle and they dry fairly quickly remaining water resistant.
Clive mostly works from photographs or similar images for convenience most of the time, and paints on polycotton canvasses or MDF boards which have been treated with acid free size.
In addition he enjoys using watercolours both with and without pen & ink on quality paper, particularly when painting away from home or in the great outside.
If you are interested in commissioning a painting or purchasing an existing one, or require some more information please contact Clive who will be delighted to answer your questions.
